I ordered this for my 58" Plasma. The unit showed up damaged by UPS (to be expected). The Techcraft customer support is GREAT. I called the number, it rang twice and was answered by a real person. They sent the replacement parts right out.

The only reason I didn't give this a 5 is because of the shelf thickness. The top shelf is plenty thick to hold the tv. My problem is with the thinner lower shelves. When placing my receiver in the center of the second shelf, it causes the The glass on all the devices come back in my seat. Rubber bumper in the middle of the store, add a few extra £ 19 for the recipient's weight seems to help some.

I just got a WD65837 an old 50 "Samsung DLP color wheel started to scream to be written like this wretchedness is replaced him. I was originally supposed to receive WD60737 (after you have decided on another set DLP), until I learned function PerfectTint (final adjustment of each of 6 colors allows the use of the set). So, for a minimal increase in price I went with the larger, feature-rich line 837.

One thing I find remarkable is the ultra-slim bezel from MitsubishiDLP September The technology at all, when I compare my prices seemed to have had, and I had everything else (plasma, LCD, LED / LCD), I would on a 58 "or 60" should be limited, where the horizontal space I was working. Due to the size of the bezel, I could go up 5 more inches in size.

Having had a DLP before I was aware of what to expect from the quality of the image. On average, I find that DLP is on par with the plasma, and some less expensive plasmas, DLP. Superior Before deciding on the WD65837 I did a comparison side with Panasonic TC-P65V10 (I was given the 58 "version of this as a possibility) are. Coexistence of the biggest differences in the way the sets are turned on (plasma apparently more uniform came from different angles, while the DLP requires ad in front of the record for best film ... that the long-standing nature of the technology) and more vivid colors Mitsubishi (read: everything must be changed) asPanasonic (which seemed dull and lifeless in comparison).
I do lots of video and photographic works, and as such have a special taste when it comes to color. I do not like the colors "pop" and prefer warm, natural colors set at about 6500K.
While out of the box, the Panasonic does a better job that I knew in that Mitsubishi had a lot of options that allow me to calibrate it would take. Side by side, but with their factory settings, the MitsubishiDLP (for $ 1899) was on par with the Panasonic plasma (about $ 3999) in terms of sharpness, noise, contrast, etc. In fact, I noticed that the background detail about the Mitsubishi was much sharper and more detailed Panasonic (which seemed a bit 'fuzzy in comparison). The level of red Mitsubishi was clearly too high (the colors can be adjusted easily), but the image quality of the Panasonic Plasma (although the default settings better color and points of view) does not seem worth the price $ 2,000Difference.

After the amount of home and time to adjust to everything, I was able to calibrate my 6504K color to get. Not perfect, but is on par with PC monitors are at work and at home (hardware calibrated NEC MultiSync 90 series).

Worthy of note is the rainbow effect, or lack of it. DLP (at least the first generation) were a kind of rainbow effect on the edges, often evident when your eyes back and forth very well knownquickly as the game or watching an action movie. I could see this effect in my old set, I would have to actively seek and make it possible to do so. With the Mitsubishi, there is no rainbow at all. I tried several times to see it but only ended up hurting the eyes to move around too much. I'm sure there is a way to do this with a camera on the frame rate matches the amount, but as far as my perception goes, I can not see, no matter how hard I. Try

Thus, as the picture is not really interested you can find better in this dimension for the same price. Although decreased in size, which probably will end up paying $ 1,000 more for a plasma with similar image quality.
This means I have to discuss some questions.

First, the remote is a pain to use. Surfing the TV options is with the small round button with the left, right, up, down arrows. This is a normal controller for a remote control, butthe problem is that the edge of the matter is rather pointed. Add to that the fact there is another button in the center of this circle, which is almost relieved, and has its own sharp corners. Both together makes navigating menus on the screen a real pain. While I think it's a minor problem, some do not, especially if the use of this part of the lot at a distance.

Secondly, the on-screen display. To be fair, the menu a bit 'annoying to navigate, sometimesand would have made a bit 'more. The problem with the remote control above probably seems worse than it actually did not mention.
There are also some things that the average user does not want to touch. For my part I like the amount of control I have over the color, gamma, image position, etc. .. But for the most part, they would simply be confused and overwhelmed with so many possibilities.

Third and last is the sound quality ... or rather lack of it. I say this assimple as I can ... Audio sucks! Not quite ... no ifs, ands or buts.
It 's very likely that someone a lot of this size is always a kind of surround speakers, or alternatively, the system setup for the output (like me). Yet it would be nice if the crowd was, the better sound with your speakers.
I tend to use this set for everyone. Watching cable standard and high definition, games, DVD and Blu-ray. But I usually do not with my surround speakers whenWatch cable, unless an on-demand movies or something.
As the speakers sound like garbage in this series. Size is not the problem or, as my 17 "notebook seems to have a better sound (of a smaller, low-power speakers) work on this TV.

In general, looks fantastic (box, etc..) Construction seems to be what one would expect to set a DLP (the plastic seems better than my old set). The menu and settings are very rich in features, butcan be a bit 'overwhelming for those who do not know what they do. The picture quality is excellent, only plasma or LED / LCD 's costs thousands beaten. And the sound quality (the set of speakers) is a joke.
Overall, the only thing really bad series, the speakers, which is not a problem for many.

Mitsubishi has the most talked about television producers in history. Finding one of these models and you will find hours worth of reading, both positive and negative. The debate me negative for 7 months. During this period I made three dozen trips to Fry's and BB to compare, and even became friends with a manager at my local Fry. I also left my PS3 in the store comparing different screens. I also read all those hours discussing technology, so let me condense alland share with you my experience. Now, everyone has different experiences in order to monitor going to compare, but here's what I noticed.

Plasma uses points to make the screen. Once I realized the points, I could not see without looking at them. It 'was very annoying, if I was not far away, a distance of real vision. Nor do they provide 3D models for the period 2009-2010. Also, for my needs, being a player on PS3, 360, Wii, and PC games that MAME and other offGames for a resolution, the plasma is "possible" burn-made, and forces him to 3rd Place screen resolutions. Make sure that all companies say they improve the burn-in, but the possibility is still there.

LCD was clear as clear, with sharp bright colors, no points, they have seen (unless your face is on TV) could be. I could not really tell the difference (except brightness) between the screen and the "LED" versions (see my note below btw), and 2010 models are beingReturn to the anti-glare screen instead of glossy. Sharp and Toshiba never brilliant, but Samsung and Sony ... and looked terrible, watch TV, you see. However, as technology, LCD also suffers from the same limited screen resolutions, such as plasma, DLP with small compared to the 3D models and absurdly expensive.

DLP, while capable of a range of screen resolutions, it seemed in comparison to the other colors were faded. However, thisI first learned to make various Mitsubishi series. And, regardless of color, the size of the gap compared to the price is amazing. Even I could not see when all the points on closing, with his face against the screen (it was fuzzy).

The debate was between the top of the LCD screen from Samsung, Sharp's largest LCD water, the straight 3D LCD Panasonic, and 73 "Mitsubishi DLP (83 was too). I also recognize that many manufacturers are doing a lot of LCD largestScreens for the period 2010-2011. Vizio is about a 50 + screen for about 2k, is that 3D ready for release. Not bad.

However, I dip the DLP and could not be happier. The screen is huge. In fact, if you plan on sitting or standing near an LCD 8. Too close and there will be fragmentation in everything you see, to watch out Blu-Ray. From the right distance to see the SD channels as a CRT, and PC games seem, LCD and HD channels and Blu-Ray literally look like you are. I was inJay Leno audience Monday evening.

Now, what about the colors faded in the store? Most stores carry lower grade of the TV series is the lack of certain features. But the "Diamond Line" have 837 black and color enhancers that really pop on screen. Compare Samsung LCD I hooked up a little and looks the same. Netflix seems crystal clear through the PS3. This really is the best choice for those who want to use a variety of entertainment technologies.

For the players, not DLPDelay between the controller commands the screen, and movement. I mean DLP is in nanoseconds, and even the best LCD 2 ms (ie slower). This is a big difference in games of precision movement. Another thing I liked that, the channel immediately. I hate the way some manufacturers have a delay, channel surfing. DLP is not a glass, a well-lit room or window does not cause glare. In fact, Fry's, they punch the tv show is on the shelf. You can alsoEnter your DLP to the environment friendly mode (an excellent rating btw) and view it all day for your pets without worrying that your whole life fade TV (only the $ 100 bulb). In fact, in addition to mechanical DLP bulb much longer than the range of other technologies. If a new bulb, it's like a new set. With LCD and plasma when it dies, you buy a new TV.

Now as a technophile, I was worried for 3D, as there is no standard home userswill use. Mitsubishi uses chess as nVidia 3D Kit (ie, the set works well with the Mitsu-TV). Checkerboard is also used by other manufacturers of off-brand kit 3D. But what the standards are not chess, is Mitsubishi 3D-Kit, any other 3D technology and convert it to compensate the board, which makes the safety of future 3D. I order the nVidia version next month, as there are many changes for 3D games for PC. The future will come from Mitsubishibuilt with the kit a. .. My did not.

One last thing, my fellow Techno twisted was about the depth of the DLP, "you can not hang on the wall," he said. Correct, the TV about 18 cm deep, and should not be on the market, in a wall in any case, as the fresh air is like a computer has to work. But all my gaming systems, PC, a UPS back-up, games, movies and a stereo that everything fits in my TV stand, because the TV on the wall anyway? If your a minimalist, which hidesMail, you should not buy a 73 "anything.

If you're on the fence, not to compare their own brand, the series C or 737, other technologies, like the other look better. Spend more and get 400 + 837 series. It 's perfect. I have also read complaints about the speakers (actually, all new television sets), but 837 is equipped with a speaker upgrade that sounds good, and I think the newer models, 2011, are even better.

Oh, and how these negative reviews ...Look at the dates are all models of the past. Each year, Mitsubishi 2009-2010 DLP and improved models are highly rated on quality and energy consumption. Each brand has had bad years. So in the end no TV technology is perfect, and then your eye is healthy, the most important thing ... However, in June 2010, I think this model is DLP (WD-73837) is the best choice for users of multi-technology, where the 83 "do. It looks great in 3D, and next to onions, will exceed the otherTV.

And just a side note, the "LED TV" (manufactured by Samsung) are only lit LCD with LED instead of CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps). They are not real, in fact, LED TV. Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is the construction of the display, regardless of how the light. If I were a fire to light up an LCD display, not all of a sudden TV COMBUSTION.

True LED TV, the only use OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) is self-light, using a thin internal LED for display only. LED Meaning only make and display images. Now, for all practical purposes, this years-TV. The best you can buy at this time is about 10 cm wide, and cost over 20k.

I hope this post will help you with all decisions and sorry for the length, but I ... really do their homework on this and I wanted to save time. If you're reading this in 2011, ensure that all new wider debate3D LCD that came out, more than most Vizio aims to discover cost 5k.

I'm one of those folks who thought there 'must be something wrong' with the Mitsubishi DLPs because of their relatively low price compared to the LCD & Plasmas. Nonetheless, I finally pulled the trigger on a WD65737 bundle deal with stand. First off, the tv is very light...the stand is easily heavier than the tv. Using HDMI cables and plugging in my HD-DVR and PS3... I was (and still am) in complete awe at the stunning picture from this tv. Crystal clear, bright bright colors...absolutely amazing HD display....better than any LCD or plasma I've seen on display in-store (no exaggeration). The entire market for big-screen TVs is pro-LCD & Plasma because of their thin profile. For a 65" screen, there is no better bang-for-your-buck than the 737 (or 738). Sure you can't wall-mount it, but who cares? Most of us have components, game systems, and cable boxes that require some kind of stand so you aren't really saving any space at all to have a 3" wide tv. This 737 is not subject to screen burn-in, and it is 3D-ready and I just read that they are in full-compliance with the new 3D blu-ray standards that were set a couple of weeks ago. Don't be a fool and pay ,000 or more for a 65" lcd/plasma, you are just throwing your money away. Also remember that large LCD & plasmas will cost twice as much in energy usable than DLP rear projection TVs. I've read other reviews that the TV speakers aren't very good but I haven't even used mine because I have a receiver with surround sound. Also, the remote is only average but I all use it for is menu-setting access and powering the tv on and off so... no big deal. My first movie viewing was 8-Mile (blu-ray) and was simply amazed at the black levels and contrast. If you have a PS3 or Xbox 360, you are in for a mind-blowing experience. Madden 10 looks like a real broadcast, it really is so crystal clear you have to do the 'shake your head, blink your eyes thing'.

The stand arrived in a large box, because it's fully assembled (for the most part). All you have to do is mount the horizontal bar (to support the adjustable shelf), screw in a couple of support brackets for the horizontal bar, and put the shelf on the bar. That's it. This took just a couple of minutes to do. Overall, the fit and finish is excellent, and the build quality is excellent too. However, it's rather expensive for what it's worth. 0 dollars for a TV stand seems high (and 0 that some retailers are charging for it is simply ridiculous).

Nevertheless, I'm very happy with it, especially since it's custom made for Mitsubishi DLP TVs; and was, for all intents and purposes, fully assembled (plus shipping was free...that could be upwards of -100 right there). I highly recommend this as a good investment for the Mitsubishi 73" home theater TV's that this stand was designed for. Besides, if you consider all the other stands out there, I found it rather difficult to find a good one that would even hold a TV of this size...most seem to be designed for 65" or less LCD's. So this may be one of the few choices available for a TV 73" or larger. Still a good pick, however.

On a related note, I considered using one of the TV setup and installation services Amazon advertises...0 for TV setup, and furniture assembly for an additional . I'm glad I didn't consider this, because there was really nothing to assemble furniture-wise, and I asked the driver about TV setup (I just purchased the TV today, because I wanted to have time to setup the stand for it first)...he said they typically unbox it, and place it on the stand for you (but no hookups, picture adjustments, etc). If you're technically-inclined (there typically isn't much to hooking up AV equipment, unless you have an overly-complex theater setup), and can spend an hour or two adjusting the TV's picture to your liking, then you can save the 8 over using the hookup Furniture and services.

Well let put it like this, it looks better than my old sony 60" I've had in the past. I am amazed at all the picture tuning you can do for a beast like this.Add the fact that it is 3D ready just waiting for the adapter to come out for it. When I play fight night round 4 it feels like I'm watching it on tv instead of playing the game. Also I suggest you get the matching stand to with it. All tho I didn't buy mines from Amazon, bought it from Costco I came out on top I paid 1299 for tv and stand there is no way in hell you gonna find a deal like that, but really if you are into big screeners for your basement i really recommend you get one of these or the 82"er trust me if I had a few more thousands in my pocket i would jump for the 82"er. my only down side to this tv is the remote, its quite boring but my onkyo remote takes care of all that and there is no USB slot but not an big issue. To really appreciate the picture quality i suggest you sit down and play with the picture set up. Others are good ...... You say anything bad because you can not hang on my wall lmao are often disappointed in this TV does wadoeji
