I've had this TV about 3 weeks now. It has a great picture and despite what people say about DLPs not being as bright as other technologies, it's plenty bright even without the "brilliant" mode being enabled. I have not had to reset it since getting it, though it has been a little reluctant to turn on with the remote a couple of times. There are plenty of options for adjusting the picture the way you like it, and the sound is pretty good, though not as good as some I've heard. There is a little speckling on bright white backgrounds. The overall contrast is great and the color quality is amazing, much better than all but the most expensive LCDs I think. Overall I'm very happy with it and I don't think you can get a TV this size and quality in any technology other than DLP. I don't watch a ton of sports, but the TV seems responsive enough to handle fast action without blurring or artifacting.

My peeves with it would be that it has a limited number of inputs. It could really use an S-video as well as a DVI and/or analog RGB. An optical input would be nice too. It could use an extra Y Pb Pr input as well, and a media card reader would be good. Also, the auxiliary inputs on the side are nice, but they don't do me much good as all my gear is on the left of the TV and the inputs are on the right side. I'm also worried about reliability---the lamp I expect to have to replace in the TV's lifetime, but it has fans and I believe a rotating color wheel (DLP technology seems to require one), and the more moving parts, the more things to go wrong. And a new TV should not have faltered when turning on from the remote. So I think I will invest in the extended service plan. Oh, and the remote included with it is fairly decent, but It'd be nice if it lit up in the dark.

But I really haven't had any issues with it other than a couple of quirks, and I would highly recommend it.

Amazon was also nice enough to charge me the I bought the TV the day after the price reduction in the rate.

I am one of those people who thought that there "must be something wrong with the Mitsubishi DLP because of their relatively low price compared to plasma LCD. However, I finally pulled the trigger on a set with support WD65737 much. First of all, TV is very easy ... support is slightly heavier than the television. connected with HDMI cable and my HD DVR and PS3 ... Was (and still are) in awe of the impressive picture of this TV. crystalline, bright colors, and absolutely ...stunning HD display .... I saw better than any LCD or plasma display in-store I (no exaggeration). The entire market for large TV screens is PRO-LCD & Plasma because of their thin profile. For a "65 screen, there is no more bang-for-your-money that the 737 (or 738). Obviously you can not wall mount, but who cares? Most of us, components, systems, games and boxes, require some sort of stand so you do not really save any space at all to have a 3 "wide TV. 737 This is not the subjectScreen burn-in, and 3D-ready and I just read that in full compliance with the new Blu-ray 3D, Which was a few weeks old, they are established. Do not be a fool and pay $ 3,000 or more for a 65 "LCD / Plasma, just throw your money away. Just keep in mind that LCD and plasma is double the energy costs in DLP rear projection TVs as useful. I 've read others' comments, that the TV speakers are not very good, but I have not used mine, because I have a receiver withSurround-Sound. The remote is only average, but I use it for all the menu settings and access to power your TV and so on ... a big problem. My first movie was just 8 miles (Blu-ray) and was just surprised the black level and contrast. If you have a PS3 or Xbox 360, you are in an extraordinary experience. Madden 10 look like a real broadcast, so you really crystalline shaking "his head, blinking his eyes thing."

I have this TV for only about a year in property.
Bought me the day after Christams last year, died when my 65 ".
I knew that I wanted small and I needed to buy local because I needed the next day was Saturday.
I paid a bit 'more locally, but they gave me a free HDMI and DVI cable HDMI cable and free delivery.
It took my old 65 "for free.

On TV

This was a great DLP for me. I am an avid audience of TV and cinema. I wouldhonestly say at least 8-10 hours a day.
I have a Media Center PC - HDMI, DirecTV HD-DVR - HDMI Wii - Component - the X-Box 360, PS3, DVD Player HDMI Upconverting all have a switch and everything works great.
The picture is great on HD sources, works in HDMI with my HD-Vado large.
It took a bit 'to get all the links to get the labels, and settings the way I wanted, but I have not changed anything in a year.
Walking in a power saving mode to start, but we really wantless than 20 seconds to get started.
I also have always faced the screen in low than too light because I know I see a lot of TV
I ordered a replacement lamp for $ 100 from Mitsubishi, not an order or otherwise pay too much.

My old man is not dead yet, but I know it should be soon with the amount that I observed.
I have only one problem as I had taken and it was about a month after purchase.
It would not turn and held with a stopcode red flashing.
They wanted to replace me, but it would take a week and would like a bit '42 "... in the meantime, any way.
The salesman who sold me the lives directly across the steet and agreed to see her that evening.
He got back and found the cable for the fan on the lamp was hung very tightly in the factory. (After I found online that the code was flashing a problem, he knew where to check.)
He published one of the clipsRelease the tension and I were on the run for the past 11 months in.
I have a slight noise on the right speaker sounds sometimes almost blew up, but for the most part, I voted.
If you watch a movie, etc., I use the surround sound.

Picture quality is absolutely fantastic! True colors, good viewing angle, and easy set up. I like the unified digital sound output, which feeds all audio inputs out. Allowed easy single digital audio coaxial cord connection to my Yamaha AV Receiver.

Worst part of TV is explaining to your friends why you just bought a DLP TV. Constant frowns from those inquiring, yet everyone who has seen it is impressed. Terrific Blu Ray images; Avatar video is amazing! Direct TV HD images are very good. Video much better than my old Samsung HD 61" DLP, replaced since it stopped working. Mitsubishi claims that all video images are up-converted to 1080P. Small physical size of this 65" Mitsubishi allowed me to fit it in a cabinet that previously was filled by the 61" TV of similar physical size. All LCD 65" TV's were too large physically to fit in my space, and picture quality is definitely comparable. Well worth having the larger screen size. Note that it is not wall mountable, not For application.

It's huge.

I had purchased a 56" Panny plasma last year. It has an awesome picture and is a fabulous TV. However, with the sound system I have going down there (classic KEF Reference all the way around plus the legendary Alon isobaric sub, driven by the top Marantz HDMI receiver) I found the picture from the plasma was still a little SMALL for the sound!

This I hadn't anticipated.

56" was the hugest screen I'd ever bought. Well, I blew the plasma out the door when the new Mitsu rear-projection DLP units with 3-D came out, and I'm glad I did.

It was between this and a projector. My brother built a front projector system in his basement, and honestly it's disappointing. You have to have the room totally dark, and even then the picture isn't very bright.

This DLP set, by contrast, is far brighter, and you can watch it during the day or with the lights on. It is HUGE, which really complements the sound system. It's really not right to have top-shelf sound without a theater-worthy screen, and 56" is just on the small end of that, unless your room is tiny.

Once I had the color balance tweaked to the calibration disc's satisfaction, I had great things going on. The Panny had great color out of the box, but the factory settings on the Mitsu DLP units are mushy and a bit off. So if you do buy this set, by all means make sure you do a full calibration with a good calibration dvd/blu-ray disc. The before/after difference is quite striking even if you're not a real "video geek." The discs themselves are amazingly cheap, and if you're spending this much on a TV there's really no excuse not to set it up right. I believe many negative reviewers simply weren't able to get the calibration done so their nice new screen looks right.

Blu-Ray presentation of color-intensive films like 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' are spectacular on this set. Fast-moving sports like Hockey and baseball render lightning-fast, unlike the ever-popular LCD screens that show a black streak on the ice instead of a puck. And of course, you get the most inches per dollar of any HDTV technology out there.

My sister has an older DLP Sony Grand WEGA set, and when the bulb finally popped on that thing, they had to pop for almost 0 to replace it, and then it was a huge rigamarole to get it replaced.

The bulb on this TV is around a hundred twenty bucks which is a steal for this kind of high-output light source. And it is 100% user replaceable. That is what sold me on this TV. Because at that low price for a bulb, I can keep a spare on hand at all times and if the thing blows I can quickly get it up and running again.

I can't stress enough how important this feature is for anyone looking at rear-projection DLP. Your bulb is going to blow. It's a wear item, like brakes on your car. Designing the system so that the user can replace the bulb is so smart, Mitsu should get a medal. Designing the bulb so that it can be sold for around a hundred bucks: awesome.

How does the picture compare with the Panasonic plasma? The plasma is better. Blacks: blacker. Whites: whiter. Action: faster. Viewing angles: WAY wider. But the plasma just ain't big enough for my application, and a plasma the size of this gigantic DLP will cost you your firstborn child. The brightness and video quality penalty is the trade-off for the eye-popping size of this screen. It was totally worth it for me, and the experience with the bigger screen really blows away the higher plasma quality for me.

So you know where I'm at with this TV. If you are looking for the home theater experience, I recommend you stop looking at flatscreens and projectors. You've found the right TV type and the right brand. Mitsu stuck with rear projection DLP and refined it while so many others were switching over to all flatscreen, all the time. Those of us non-millionaires for whom there's no substitute for screen real estate are very happy they did.

Go to your local Mitsubishi DLP dealer and see these big things in action. Choose the model that fits you best, and start shopping that model. 00 for this TV is a gettable deal, and you may be able to get it for that just by offering that price to your local Mitsu guy. You'll pay for delivery, but the charge will be similar to what you pay the Amazon affiliates who sell this TV--and you'll have a local warranty, This is similar to a degree.

Your personal economy you on television, I am sure your shopping list, a TV put in a permit to use the $ 3,000 if you are.

You'll regret it, regret it.
